First and foremost there is two things I am always telling my clients to do to battle anti-aging.
Never sleep with your makeup on
Always wear your sunscreen
This doesn’t battle all signs of aging but it sure as hell is a start in the right direction.
Sunscreen is and always will be my least valued advice to clients however I’m hoping to make you all love sunscreen by the end of this awareness month.
If you start at the beginning about why our skin gets a tan vs. the desire to be tanned because it symbolizes beauty, ability to be sexy and most awfully the idea that you’re skinner because you have a tan. This is the real indicator that we need to change how we view our relationship with our skin. But that might have to be its own post another time!
The melatonin in our skin begins to darken as sun exposure increases, this is direct damage to outer layer of our skin. Daily exposure damages the fibres in your skin called elastin and collagen. These fibres are what keep us looking plump and youthful!
